LG Smart TV (webOS) Setup Guide
Learn how to configure your 4kIPTV playlist on LG Smart TVs running webOS 3.5 or newer using the official LG Content Store.
Before You Start
Ensure you have the following information and hardware prepared before beginning configuration.
Step-by-Step Installation Instructions
Install Player from LG Content Store
Press the Home button on your LG Magic Remote and launch the LG Content Store. Search for 'IBO Player' or 'Smart IPTV' and select Install.
Open the Player & Note Device Key
Launch the installed application. On initial startup, the app displays your TV's Device MAC Address and Device Key.
Upload Your Playlist
Using a mobile phone or computer browser, visit the player's activation portal (e.g. iboplayer.com/device) or enter credentials directly on screen if supported. Input your TV MAC, Device Key, and the 4kIPTV M3U playlist URL sent to your email.
Reload Player on TV
Restart the application on your LG television or click 'Reload' on screen to fetch the channels and EPG schedule.
Select Channel & Stream
Navigate through the categorized UK channels and VOD folders using the LG Magic Remote pointer to begin streaming in Full HD and 4K.
Common Problems & Troubleshooting
Issue: Player displays 'Check Playlist URL'
Action: Ensure there are no typos in the M3U link and that special characters were not altered when copying.
Issue: App asks for MAC activation
Action: Certain webOS players charge an independent license to their developer after their 7-day trial. You may alternatively install a free player if available in your regional LG store.
