Apple TV Setup Guide

Follow this tutorial to configure 4kIPTV on Apple TV 4K or Apple TV HD using native tvOS applications.

Before You Start

Ensure you have the following information and hardware prepared before beginning configuration.

Compatible Platform:Apple TV 4K (all generations) and Apple TV HD running tvOS 14.0 or newer

Supported Application:IPTVX, iPlayTV, or Smarters Player Lite

Separate App Cost:IPTVX and iPlayTV charge separate App Store licensing fees set by their developers. Smarters Player Lite is free.

Prerequisites & Info:Apple ID signed into tvOS App Store, high-speed broadband connection, and 4kIPTV credentials.

From the Apple TV home screen, launch the App Store. Search for 'iPlayTV' or 'IPTVX' and download the application.

Open the player using your Siri Remote. Select 'Add Playlist' -> 'Xtream Codes'.

Enter the Server URL, Username, and Password dispatched to your email address after ordering.

Any Playlist Name:[e.g. 4kIPTV]

Username:[YOUR_USERNAME_FROM_EMAIL]

Password:[YOUR_PASSWORD_FROM_EMAIL]

Portal URL / M3U:[YOUR_SERVER_URL_FROM_EMAIL]

Click Save. The application downloads UK channel folders, live sports schedules, and movie metadata.

Browse your channel groups with the Siri Remote touchpad and click to stream in 4K Ultra HD.

How to Confirm Setup Succeeded:The stream initializes and audio/video plays in sync with tvOS native player controls.

Issue: App Store says app not found

Action: Try searching for 'Smarters Player Lite' or 'GSE Smart IPTV' as regional availability may vary.

Issue: Streams stuttering on 4K

Action: In tvOS Settings -> Video and Audio, enable 'Match Content' -> 'Match Frame Rate'.
